Sig-nificant Milestones

DFSS Rugby Team came 2nd!?!

In a stunning display of determination and teamwork, the DFSS Rugby Team has made history by reaching the Grand Final at the annual Cad Cup competition. With limited training sessions and varying levels of rugby union knowledge, their achievement is nothing short of extraordinary. The boys showed incredible determination and teamwork on the field, leaving other units shocked with their talents. This achievement is a significant milestone for the entire unit and cements their place in Cad Cup Rugby history.

DFSS Rugby Team – 2nd place first for DFSS!

The road to the Grand Final was paved with challenges, though they may not have come out on top, these young warriors persevered, proving that dedication knows no bounds. Their success is a testament to the power of unity and the unwavering spirit of sportsmanship. The 2023 DFSS Cad Cup rugby team will always be remembered as the pioneers of their unit, leaving a lasting legacy.

Let us raise our glasses and applaud these exceptional athletes for their hard work, commitment, and unparalleled achievement. Congratulations to the lads for their remarkable journey and for inspiring us all for the years to come. Cheers to the grand finalists!

8 Sig Regt: Reserve Power!

8 Sig Regt entered a team made up of 98% reservists, all of which committed time away from their primary employment to compete. With little to no expectations, their achievements throughout Corps Week were nothing less than exceptional. Accolades aside, this was a group of people, most of which were unknown to each other prior, coming together and who gave it their all in every event entered by 8 Sig Regt.

Conclusion

The RA Sigs Corps Week is a long-standing Signals Corps tradition and the highlight of the corps calendar. Thank you to 7 Sig Regt and support staff for hosting the Corps at Borneo Barracks and facilitating the week, and congratulations to all the participants (especially DFSS), we look forward to seeing you next year!
